From car fire to one dead involving vehicles in Long Island

Police reported a fully involved car fire on LIE at Exit 43 around 7:30am. Only HOV lane was open for traffic. Also, today police confirmed one death in Massapequa from the accident on August 22 at 9:30am involving single vehicle accident. A 75 year old female died of her injuries today after her vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility pole on Sunrise Highway and Unqua Road.
