Fresh Meadows man sandbagged Rego Park couple posting as fake contractor

Fresh Meadows - Dennis Ngai was contracted by Sandra and Danny Azzo of Rego Park for home improvements by getting $150,000. After a while the job was done poorly and the couple contacted Howard Thompson of News 11 to report the issue. Further investigation reported Ngai was not a licensed contractor. Since it was illegally constructed, Ngai refunded some of the money but not fully. Ngai of 171st Street and 65th Avenue was not at home when Howard went to interview. Afterward, the job was given to another licensed contractor and repairs were completely satisfied. Howard reported unlicensed contractors are to be reported by calling 311 to NYC Dept of Consumer Affairs. pic by FB. Reported 9am.
