Flushing Uber driver arrested for rape

Police arrested Kar Keong Liao, 47 of Flushing on Saturday about 8pm while driving the vehicle under Uber service in the Bronx. The next day, Liao is charged with criminal sex act, attempted rape and sexual abuse. He is held on $10,000 cash or $15,000 bail. Authorities reported that Liao allegedly picked up a 31 year old woman at 52nd Street east side of Manhattan and was supposed to drop her to East Village. The victim passed out after few drinks. Instead she woke up in his Flushing apartment on Sanford Avenue near College Point Blvd. The victim was told of the incident by Liao. Afterward the woman called police on College Point Blvd and reported the crime.
