Floral Park man arrested for hit and run in Hempstead

Police arrested Neptali Sanchez, 44 of Floral ark and charged with hit and run. The incident happened on March 3 around 8:15pm on West Columbia Street in Hempstead. Police reported Sanchez exited from a deli and noticed a man fell on the passenger side of his vehicle. From there, Sanchez took off striking the victim but stopped and then took off. EMS reported the victim died on March 9. Sanchez was taken into custody on March 16 and charged with hit and run.
