Flagship Diner in Briarwood to close doors for good

Flagship Diner in Briarwood on Queens Blvd and 138th Street will close doors for good. While back NYS Senate Tony Avella along with local residents fought to keep it in business but time ran out. The diner was a local eatery for 53 years. A real estate company brought the land for over $6 million dollars with plan to develop apartments but was stalled with legal issues. The company that owns the lot, White Rock Management still has plans to build apartments but details were not provided. The last day is July 22 at 3pm.
