First week NYPD stat released

Already one week into a new year and the numbers are high.

Homicide, robberies, rape, burglaries and other crimes continue to increase in NYC.

As for robberies, there were multiple pursuits in Queens related to robberies.

Yesterday, there was a robbery on Astoria Blvd and 94th Street in East Elmhurst with a chase of the suspect by police.

After midnight, there were several strong arm robbery attempts reported on Kissena Blvd by the Kissena Park in Flushing. One suspect was taken into custody and a gun was recovered. Two more perps are outstanding.
