Fire damaged entire stores in Franklin Square

The Nassau County firefighters reported heavy fire which started after 5pm at the local bagel store on Franklin Avenue near 3rd Avenue at unit 529. This is in Franklin Square, Nassau County. The fire marshal reported one entire row of stores has been damaged after reporting it as a fourth alarm.

EMS reported injuries.

This is the second incident of heavy fire in Nassau County.

Earlier today in Manhasset reported a fire at a private home on Tobin Avenue near Claire Street. The fire started around 3:30am and was brought under control by 4am.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at both locations.
