Final RCV released by the Board of Elections

Today, the final ranked choice voting (RCV) was released by the NYC Board of Election. Zohran Mamdani wins at 545,334 which is 56% to Andrew Cuomo at 428,530 which is 44% for the Democratic primary.

This is the second largest turnout after David Dinkins, a very popular Democrat Mayor back then NYC loved until a Republican named Rudy Giuliani came in.

To this day, the same voter line of Mamdani are the breed of former Mayor de Blasio who preached staying home and doing nothing for public assistance.

The loyalists to Democratic party are standing with Mamdani to stay in power in NYC while Cuomo's endorsements are all evaporated.

Cuomo's political dynasty is poof!

Now the upcoming battle is between Mamdani, current Mayor Adams and the Republican candidate Sliwa. As of today, Adams polling at 19% to Mamdani's 33% in a three-way race.

As Mayor, Mamdani would be in charge of NYC’s more than $100 billion budget. The top 2 to 2.5% of earners in NYC which includes ultra high income individuals and likely many billionaires pay about 50–52% of the city’s personal income tax revenue.

If Mamdani wins, he knows corporations headquartered in NYC likely won’t stay with his socialist policies and the middle class will be coughing up to cover the make up expenses. Even better, the NY Governor clearly stated the budget allotted for NYC will be extremely tight unless more enforcements are created to cover expenses.

Oh we love NYC.
