File claim for consumers after Equifax data breach

In 2017, consumers reported of social security number exposed breaching data from Equifax. The company settled for $575 to $700 million dollars settlement affecting 147 million people. As part of the settlement, the consumers affected can file a claim starting with $125. Some people may also be eligible for cash payments up to $20,000 for the time spent on remedying fraud or identity theft and for out-of-pocket losses resulting from the data breach.
