Female assaulted after suspect tried to rob on Union Turnpike

Police are at Union Turnpike and Springfield Blvd reporting a senior female was waiting for the bus when a suspect attempted to rob her. Then assaulted the victim after she resisted. Bystanders came to her rescue. The suspect is under investigation by police. Reported the suspect male black is being questioned by police.
