Feds arrested Floral Park man and taken to Florida for charges

Manavjit Singh, 25 was taken into custody out of his home in Floral Park on Tuesday, August 8 and transfered to Jacksonville, Florida for online sex crimes. According to authorities, Singh was having chat with a minor female based in Florida after meeting inside a teen group chatroom two years ago. From there, he convinced the minor to send her nude pics of herself. Afterward, Singh demanded more when the victim realized her nude images were posted public. She told her sister who then alerted authorities. Authorities also reported that Singh threated to kill her family if she didn't send more nude pics of herself. Singh is now charged with aggravated stalking, child pornography, extortion and other charges. The investigation is ongoing and Singh remains in prison on a $450,000 bond.
