Fatality on the BQE eastbound

Brooklyn Queens Expressway eastbound at Broadway Exit in Jackson Heights, all lanes closed due to multiple vehicle accident with one dead. ESU is working to clear the traffic. The city’s medical examiner is working to transport the body. Heavy delays all around. Ongoing investigation.

Update - A male pedestrian was crossing the BQE when he was hit by a yellow cab and died around 7pm. The cab driver is cooperating with the police.
