Fatality on Jericho Turnpike in Old Westbury

The NCPD is investigating a fatal auto accident that occurred on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 10:39 p.m. in Old Westbury.

According to police, a female driver, 30, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala. She exited the Westbury Manor, 1100 Jericho Turnpike in Old Westbury, turning east onto Jericho Turnpike when her vehicle was struck by a 2016 BMW, driven by an 18-year-old male who was traveling eastbound on Jericho Turnpike. As a result of the collision the driver of the Impala suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced by a Police Medic at 10:46 p.m. The driver of the BMW was transported to a local area hospital for minor injuries. Ongoing investigation.
