Fatality involving a pedestrian in Jackson Heights

Police reported a pedestrian struck by vehicle died in Jackson Heights. This is on Roosevelt Avenue near 70th Street. The incident was reported this morning around 5:30am.

EMS reported the person died at the local hospital.

ESU cleared the area.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police.

The investigation continues.
