Fatality and hit and run incidents in Queens

Around 1:30am, the LIE eastbound by Main Street was closed after reporting a fatality. Police reported a female victim, 35, jumped out of the backseat of an Uber ride and then struck other vehicles.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

The Uber driver remained on the scene and continued to cooperate with the police.

Around 6am this morning, a hit and run was reported in Jamaica.

This is at the intersection of North Conduit Avenue and 150th Street. The victim, a female, died at the local hospital.

Police are now searching for the driver.

Both incidents are under investigation.
