Fatality after outdoor dining crash in Astoria

Police report multiple vehicle accident with injuries in Astoria. This is at the intersection of Ditmars Blvd and 33rd Street. One vehicle hit the outdoor dining area and suffered cardiac arrest. EMS transported the driver to a local hospital. Two people from the outdoor dining suffered injuries. Two people from the vehicle suffered injuries. One dead while riding a delivery scotter. Ongoing investigation. Update - Cops released name of man who died in crash yesterday as 37yo Xing Lin. Cops say a woman got angry while driving behind a slow car in Astoria. She lost control of car when going around it and crashed into Lin who was on a scooter. She then hit into outdoor dining structure.
