Fatal vehicle accident in Merrick

The NCPS reported a fatal vehicle accident on August 11 at 6:25pm.
According to detectives, while driving a 2007 Hyundai Sonata eastbound in the Town of Hempstead parking lot M7, the driver, Lloyd Sagendorph, 30, of Bellmore, did strike a light pole. Witnesses then observed him back up his car and continue on at a high rate of speed now traveling westbound in the lot. Sagendorph then struck a concrete train trestle stanchion causing him to suffer multiple trauma injuries. 911 was called and he was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased by a staff physician. No other injuries were reported. The investigation into this accident continues.
