Fatal fire in Bayside resulted one woman dead

FDNY reported fire at a home in Bayside where one woman died inside. The incident happened on Sunday, January 7 around 11:20am inside a two story home on 217th Street and 67th Avenue in Bayside. The dead woman has been identified as Rita Sklar, 60 who was inside the home recovering from brain cancer. FDNY marshal is investigating the cause of fire.
