Fatal accident on SSP eastbound

Police reported multiple vehicle accident on the Southern State Parkway eastbound between Exits 29 and 30 in North Massapequa. This is involving four vehicles and a motorcycle. Two vehicles caught fire. It happened around 5am. As of 11am, 4 people are dead. The investigation is ongoing. Reported a wrong way driver on the parkway. There are 4 injuries with one in critical condition. The parkway is closed eastbound.

Update -A Toyota sedan with only the driver was going in the wrong direction. The driver hit an SUV with 4 people inside and all died. The motorcyclist hit the debris and was not injured.
