Fatal Brooklyn car fire victim identified as Queens woman

Police reported fatal accident on Brooklyn Queens Expressway westbound at Prospect Expressway involving a car fire. It was a single vehicle incident after the vehicle, 2007 Infiniti G35 hit the median and lost control resulting fire. The incident was reported on Friday, October 13 around 4am. The driver identified as Saeed Ahmad, 23 of Brooklyn and the passenger, Harleen Kaur Grewal, 25 of Queens. Grewal died on the spot and police reported Ahmad took off on the highway on foot. Ahmad saw oncoming taxi and was told to go to Maimonides Medical Center where police cuffed him afterward. He suffered burns around his body. He is charged with criminally negligent homicide and slew of violations. The NYC Medical Examiner transported the body of Grewal for autopsy. pic FB.
