Family of mother daughter and son busted for seven armed robberies in Suffolk County

Deborah Salvatore, 55 and her daughter Lauren Mascia, 31, both of Mastic Beach along with Deborah's son, Rick Mascia, 25 of Medford were arrested on Saturday, October 21 around 10pm. Police reported Mascia and Salvatore were at Dunkin Donuts at 350 Middle Country Road in Coram. After Mascia displayed a knife demanding money while Salvatore was outside in the waiting car, police arrived on time and took both in custody. Shortly, Lauren Mascia was arrested. All three were charged with armed robberies at the following locations. Family Dollar, located at 349 Horseblock Road in Farmingville, on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 9:50pm. Family Dollar, located at 222 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma, on Friday, Sept. 29 at approximately 10pm. Carvel, located at 400 Horseblock Road in Farmingville, on Friday, October 13 at 9:55pm. Carvel, located at 400 Horseblock Road in Farmingville, on Saturday, Oct. 14 at approximately 10pm. Dunkin' Donuts, located at 500-11 Medford Ave. in Patchogue, on Monday, Oct. 16 at 10:33pm. Dollar Tree, located at 3235 Horseblock Road in Medford, on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 9:43pm. Dunkin' Donuts, located at 350 Middle Country Road in Coram, on Saturday, Oct. 21 at approximately 9:45pm. All three were charged with robberies and weapon possession.
