Fairway in Douglaston survives

Bogopa, the food distributor company agreed to buy two Fairway locations from closing. One is in Douglaston inside the mall center and the other in Red Hook, Brooklyn. After announcing $70 million bid for 5 locations, the company agreed to two locations. Both supermarkets will continue to operate as usual until further announcements are made by the company. Currently, Bogopa owns Food Bazaar which operates 6 super markets in Queens. The company employs over 2,000 in NYC. The process is awaiting for court approval.
