Explosion at ConEd plant

Reported around College Point, Flushing, Whitestone vicinity. Multiple locations with power outage.

The explosion caused green blue white lights in the sky. The explosion started at 21st Avenue and 24th Street in Astoria and spread to the Flushing Bay locations nearly close to Bayside.

More than 100 firefighters are enroute to the water side area of Whitestone, College Point, Flushing, East Elmhurst, Astoria, Long Island City and etc. FDNY confirmed there is no active fire but explosions caused from faulty transformers in the Astoria facility. ConEd checking the entire loop locations of transformers for faulty lines by the water side.
