Exploratory scouting at 700 plus locations in NYC

The NYC Mayor's Office confirmed more locations are being checked out in NYC to house migrants coming from the open border down south apart from hotels, nonprofits and other institutions.

781 former large retail locations are under scouting by the local City Council staffers to deem fit for migrants with kitchen and bathroom facilities. They were forced to close due to extensive shoplifting and other crimes.

This week, two locations, Creedmoor in Queens Village and Aqueduct Racetrack will be checked to see whether it's suitable for migrants to place but not confirmed. The approval must come from the Governor who is working with real estate developers to move forth the plan to build affordable housing plus retail like shopping malls inside Creedmoor in Queens Village and possibly replacing the mental health center elsewhere as confirmed by the office. This will take years and years down the line starting with environmental study, neighborhood feasibility and more that will exceed $1 billion before construction starts.

As of last week, 14 undisclosed locations in northeast Queens are under renovations to house migrant relief centers awaiting for details if the Governor and Mayor releases the list which is unlikely.
