Elmont station of LIRR is on time schedule

Over the weekend, MTA workers installed girders all lines to the new Elmont station. Cross Island Parkway was closed for the installtion. According to MTA, the eastbound side will be ready on time for the Islander's home opener at the UBS Arena in Hempstead. Take the transfer at Jamaica to Elmont or Belmont Park for those coming from eastbound. For the westbound, it will be Queens Village station for now with bus service until it's ready next year.
