Eight cops landed in the hospital after EDP incident in Forest Hills

On Friday, September 1st around 2am, police were called to a residence at 63-84 Saunders in the fifth floor Street reporting an EDP. ESU gained entry but was exposed to unknown chemicals. FDNY called Hazmat for further investigation. At the same time, Eight cops were treated for unknown chemicals and all were taken to hospitals after complaining of pain. After a while, the EDP was apprehended and taken to hospital. Another person from inside the apartment was also taken to hospital. Police later reported it maybe a drug lab but not confirmed due to EDP overdosed on the same drugs found inside, possibly heroin mixed with Fentanyl. Police shut down the operation and the area has been closed for further investigation. NYPD reported the entire 112th Precinct cops who worked at night are undergoing test for safety procedure.
