Early Christmas prank leads NYPD into chaos on Queens Blvd

Police were called to Queens Blvd and 39th Street in Woodside reporting possibles suspects bailed out from police vehicle transporting to court.

A slew of NYPD stormed to the area along with K-9 and helicopter hovering above.

Then police received alerts of suspects on Queens Blvd heading to Kew Gardens in a stolen vehicle with hostages.

Further investigation confirmed two suspects stole a police department radio reporting false incidents resulting wild goose chase by NYPD in large numbers after tracking down the same equipment was stolen.

Now police are tracking down the radio using a scanner.
