Drunken man arrested for hate crime in Rego Park

Dimitrious Zias, 40 of Astoria was taken into custody after reporting hate crime by police. Zias allegedly attacked an Orthodox Jewish woman and her daughter inside 67th Street subway station. It happened on Wednesday, September 13 around 2pm. After the incident, Zias was arrested on the spot. Sources reported Zias thought he was attacking Muslim women by yelling get out of my country. Both mother, 57 year old and daughter, 37 year old did not suffer serious injuries. Zias is held at Rikers with $50,000 bail.
