Drivers are advised of assault intersection in Bellerose

Police reported multiple assaults at the intersection of Winchester Blvd and Union Turnpike. Also confirmed its an ongoing incident. Drivers are advised to close their windows due to constant EDPs soliciting for money. All while, the EDPs complained to police they were assaulted by drivers. At the same time, drivers reported to police that EDPs wouldn't let go of the vehicle while windows were open waiting for the red light. Now police are advising drivers in both directions of Union Turnpike and Winchester Blvd to keep windows and doors locked at the intersection while waiting for the right.
