Driver took off after truck hit the bridge in Nassau County

Police reported around 3:45am, a tractor trailer hit the overpass bridge on the Southern State Parkway westbound. This is by Eagle Avenue Exit in Valley Stream. The driver took off on foot after unhooking the tractor. Another vehicle from behind was also hit and the driver of that vehicle is at the hospital with injuries.

Police are now searching for the driver.
