Driver ran away after car fire on HHP

Police closed off the Horace Harding Expressway eastbound by East Hampton Blvd reporting a fully involved car fire. Afterward, the driver took off on foot toward eastbound. Firefighters are working on the scene. A witness stated this was a pursuit resulting the crash and fire in Bayside. Delays all around.
