Driver dead from the truck fire on LIE

Police confirmed one dead from the truck fire on Long Island Expressway westbound before New Hyde Park Exit 35. Reported a small pick-up truck rammed into the rear of a garbage tractor trailer and caught fire. The driver of the small truck died. The medical examiner is working to remove the body for autopsy. LIE is a mess. Avoid the route.
Update - The passenger died from the pick up truck.
