Drag racers will have to scout a new location

Francis Lewis Blvd between 73rd Avenue and Horace Harding Expressway will have a new traffic light setup and ready before school starts in the fall. The route has been a popular spot for drag racing next to Cunningham Park. NYC DOT is also in the process of setting up speed cameras near St Francis Prep with date not announced as of yet. This was done after years of complaints from nearby residents with reckless drivers.
