Domestic violence is now a homicide investigation in Suffolk County

The SCPD reported a domestic violence at a home in Farmingville yesterday around 8pm after 911 calls came in. This is on Granny Road near Mount McKinley. Further investigation confirmed a female victim was stabbed and later died at the local hospital in Stoneybrook. The male was also found with knife wounds after the incident. A child was also injured and is now in stable condition.

Detectives charged the male with second degree murder, first degree criminal contempt and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police didn't disclose the motive.

The investigation continues.
