Diesel trains coming to rescue passengers

The LIRR trains that are stuck midway from the stations in Queens and part of Nassau County are being rescued with diesel trains enroute. The diesel trains will transport the passengers to the station and then a bus will be used to honor the next destination.

Bayside and Flushing are the most affected.

The MTA is working to clear the flood to the routes with drainer trucks.

The estimated restoration time is not disclosed as of yet.
