Democracy is a fixture of NY so deal with it

So is California.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced a new ballot question for the upcoming election. This is the quote,

"We're gonna place a question on the ballot that is gonna allow Floridians to vote themselves relief from property tax."

Then added,

"If you own your home, to truly own it, you have to own it free and clear of the government - you shouldn't have to pay rent to the government!. People say, 'that can't be done.' My question is, why can't it be done? Broward County, Florida. 1.9 million people. no net population growth over the last 5 years, but the budget has increased 60%!"

Coming to NY, the Governor will not support the move which means government budget spending cuts. A big no no no.

More money to the government is the goal through democracy.

Many New Yorkers will cry foul if the budget is cut in NY and the Governor's Office stated another $500 billion is needed to sustain NY in fantastic shape for all.
