Delays on Union Turnpike in Oakland Gardens

Pursuit with 1 in custody and 2 more outstanding.

Police are on Union Turnpike and Springfield Blvd reporting multiple vehicle accidents with injuries. This involves a police vehicle after pursuit. The vehicle in pursuit crashed at the intersection.

EMS is checking for injuries. ESU is working to clear the intersection. Delays all around.

Reported this was a pursuit after the suspects went to the hotel in Bellerose on Jericho Turnpike and 249 Street with guns to confront someone. Then police were alerted causing the suspects to take off. Several witnesses reported the vehicle was last seen on Commonwealth Blvd to Union Turnpike until tracked to Springfield Blvd.
