Dead body investigation in Queens Village

The NYPD is investigating a dead body at the local LIRR station in Queens Village. The incident was reported this afternoon around 12:30pm when commuters alerted 911 of three unconscious people at the end of the platform.

EMS reported one is dead and the other two are unresponsive but conscious.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

EMS transported the other two to local hospitals.

Police say there is no criminality involved and may have been overdosed after coming from the local arena.

Local residents reported one part of Queens VIllage by the local arena is plagued with drugs and prostitution despite calling the local precincts with complaints.

At the same time, local businesses demand police to patrol the area by the Nassau Queens border.

The investigation continues.
