Correction officer attacked inside Rikers Island

NYC Correction Officers and NYPD are escorting a correction officer beaten severely by an inmate. The officer is in serious condition. EMS transported the officer to a local hospital. The incident happened on Thursday around 5:30pm at the Otis Bantum Correctional Center inside Rikers Island. The injured officer was released on Friday. The suspect has been identified as Damien Fuller.
