Coronavirus update for Tuesday

Governor Cuomo is making clear that anything that a NYS locality wants to do -including NYC- has to go through him. He is the one in charge, not even the mayor has final say. Also, he assume full responsibility.
Cuomo says he spoke to Trump this morning, and "he is ready, willing and able to help" New York.
Cuomo says state will need 55,000-110,000 hospital beds and 18,600-37,200 ICU beds at projected peak of 45 days, and that state currently has 53,000 hospital beds and 3,000 ICU beds.
Doctors have started injecting an experimental coronavirus vaccine into healthy adults in Seattle as part of a 6-week study. Officials say it will take at least a year for the vaccine to be available to the public.
1,374 positive cases in the state with 432 new cases and 12 people died.
644 confirmed cases in NYC with 187 new positive tests.
1st death in Nassau County is a 96 year old man.
Business curfew is for 45 days for now.
The New York City Council called for a citywide quarantine, but the governor said it would not happen.
10,049 tested for COVID19 to date in New York.
New York State will open drive-thru testing facilities in Nassau County, Suffolk County, Staten Island, and Rockland County. Nassau facility open today at Jones Beach.
NYers with student debt, medical debt & other state-referred debt will have payments frozen for at least 30 days.
