Cop assaulted after robbery in Flushing

Police are on manhunt for a suspect wanted for robbery and breaking into vehicles on Roosevelt Avenue near Main Street. Several people flagged down for police after the incident. When one of the cop approached, assault occurred causing injury to the officer with the suspect's vehicle. The suspect has been apprehended after search on 40th Road when the vehicle was stopped. The second suspect took off inside the 7 train station but escaped after more police force showed. EMS is attending to the injured officer who suffered injuries. Police confirmed a third suspect is also on the loose. Ongoing investigation.
Update - The arrested suspect identified as Anthony Moreira, 27.
