Congrats to NYC Housing as the number one slumlord

The annual list of NYC's worst landlord has been released and the number one spot belongs to NYC Housing, something the Public Advocate Tish James refused to acknowledge until pressure from the public.

The original list was started by then Public Advocate di Blasio attacking private landlords, the city refused to add public housing despite complaints. The public housing of Red Hook Houses is the worst with HPD violations followed by Mill Brook Houses, Albany Houses and Sedgwick Houses.

There are open work orders of 240,120 regarding violations still pending to clear. More than 35,000 residents in the public housing has not heat and hot water. The mayor removed the public housing list from the slum lord list insisting its only for private landlords.

As for that, the number one private slum lord has total violations of 1,449. Here is the entire list,
