Commuter slashed after argument broke out in Astoria

Police are reporting a man was slashed during argument inside the N train in Astoria. It happened on January 4 around 11pm at the Astoria/Ditmars Blvd station. A witness reported the man, a 57 year old told another man to move aside from blocking the door when the argument broke out. The victim, 59 year old moved to another car and he was followed where another argument results slashing. Police described the suspect as male, black, 20's, 5'7" and was seen wearing green military style jacket with backpack.
