Coat jacking alerting victim owners to know safety

The NYPD reported a new crime is trending and its coat jacking. The suspects target victims who wear Moose Knuckles, Canada Goose and The North Face have been robbed mostly in the subways and open streets.

A Moose Knuckles jacket goes around $1,500 and police say 8 victims were robbed in Queens alone on the A and 7 train lines.

With the weather changing to warmer in the coming days, the NYPD is alerting all owners of the three brand name coats to be aware of their surroundings.

Back in the 90's the 8 ball jacket was a target for thieves but now it no longer has a value.
