City Council passed the bill 1867

The NYC Council voted to pass the new bill intro 1867 that will allow almost one million undocumented immigrants and non-citizens including green card holders to vote in municipal elections in the city.

The current Mayor will not sign it so it's on to the next incoming administration to decide next year.

However, the bill is facing lawsuits which have already been filed. At the moment, only the Governor can veto it. If signed by the incoming Mayor Adams, the bill will go into effect in 2023.
