Child unattended inside vehicle at College Point parking lot

Police are at the College Point parking lot where Target is located reporting a child is locked inside the vehicle unattended. Officers removed the child while waiting for the parents to return to the vehicle. This is the third incident reported in the shopping center at 20th Avenue and 135th Avenue. Back in April 22, a 46 year old mother was arrested after leaving her 2 year old inside the vehicle around 3:30pm. In August 10, FDNY Mathew Clinton rescued a 4 year old child from the sweltering heat. The father was arrested after he returned to the vehicle.
Update - The child?s mother arrested and charged with reckless endangerment.
