Car explosion reported in South Ozone Park

FDNY reported a car explosion at a location in South Ozone Park. This is on 133rd Street near 131st Avenue.

The incident was reported this morning around 7am.

The vehicle was parked in front of a home when the explosion was heard in the area.

Bomb squad is working on the scene and there were reported of batteries removed from the vehicle. The incident resulted damage to homes.

EMS reported no injuries.

The investigation continues.
