Car crash with innocents in Nassau County

The NCPD closed the Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown reporting a car crash toward 10 vehicles.

EMS reported multiple injuries.

From a witness, the pursuit was on the Wantagh State Parkway when the driver exited on Hempstead Turnpike eastbound. The vehicle crashed toward multiple vehicles waiting on the red light before Jerusalem Avenue by the shopping lot.

The driver suspect has been taken into custody.

Hempstead Avenue is closed in both directions.
