Canaan man charged with menacing following road rage incident

On October 13, 2026, at approximately 1:50 p.m., New York State Police in Chatham responded to 492 Route 20 in the town of New Lebanon for a reported menacing incident.

The investigation revealed that Neil R. Feathers, 58, of Canaan, New York, displayed a handgun during a verbal road rage incident involving a FedEx driver.

Feathers was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C felony, and Menacing in the Second Degree, a class A misdemeanor.
