Burglary investigation in Franklin Square

The Fifth Squad is investigating a Burglary that occurred in Franklin Square on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1:20 am. According to detectives, Fifth Precinct Police responded to an alarm ringing at the Bagel Doctor located at 380E Franklin Avenue. Upon arrival police observed that a rock had been thrown through the front door causing damage. Further investigation revealed that an unknown male subject (no description) did enter the premises and removed two cash registers containing an unknown amount of US currency. The male subject then loaded both registers into a light-colored SUV and drove away south on Franklin Avenue. The investigation is ongoing. Detectives request that anyone with information regarding the above crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1 – 800 – 244 – TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
